About Lily
Lily is an elderly lady who spent her life on the streets living under the bins in an alleyway. She was rescued this spring and we started a long journey to get her better.
Lily’s teeth needed to be removed as they were causing her constant infections and pain. She was so weak we had to strengthen and stabilise her first. Despite this she has always been the sweetest cat – so grateful for the care and warmth she was finally getting. Her teeth were removed in July and within a week she was a new cat. She started running around, playing, and just loving life.
Lily was doing so well and became such a confident loving girl. So we started looking for a perfect match. We thought we had found her perfect forever family, but Lily didn’t agree. She completely shut down and went on full hunger strike. We collected her and brought her home. She looked so miserable and frail after only 2 days, that we promised her that she will never have to worry again, and that she can stay with us in a place she knows as home.
Lily’s health is still fragile – respiratory infections regularly bother her. All she wants is to lie in a warm place and get some cuddles and nice bits of food.
